Everyone with an Oxford affiliation (student, researcher, alumni) can apply. We are specifically looking for teams of 2-3 people, but only one member of the founding team needs to be Oxford affiliated.

Planet Positive categorises a company, technology or product that achieves a net positive impact on our planet, its ecosystems and its people whereby they aim to use our planet’s resources sustainably and to contribute to building a sustainable future. This is our focus.

We fund all types of climate tech startups, working in most verticals, using any type of business models. Do keep in mind, however, that our focus is on startups rather than small businesses.

We encourage teams who can move to the Oxford to do so. We will support you to find accommodation. However compulsory classes take place only on Thursdays and Fridays, so you can travel to Oxford if you prefer to do so.

We expect the programme to be a minimum of 10 hours per week if you participate in all the recommended activities. These will be taking place predominantly in Oxford on Thursdays and Fridays.

Yes, we have a standard offer structure where we will look to receive between 1% - 5% of your company via equity or advance subscription for equity. It is important for us to align with the companies that we work with: we will help you succeed by supporting each stage of your development and by introducing you to our network of corporates and investors.

You can use the investment for anything that you believe helps your business. In most cases, the first use of the funding should be for the founders to support themselves so they can work full-time on their company, typically by paying themselves a salary.
